Tapered Roller Bearings
Tapered roller bearings are radial thrust type rolling bearings in which the rolling elements are tapered rollers. Tapered roller bearing are bearings that separate the inner and outer rings. The inner and outer rings of the bearing have tapered raceways, the type is divided into small cone angle and large cone angle. The small cone angle is primarily subjected to combined loads of radial and axial forces. Usually, two pairs can be used together and installed in the opposite direction. Radial and axial clearance can be adjusted during installation; the large cone angle is mainly axial and radial. Combined loads are typically not used alone to withstand pure axial loads and can be used to withstand pure radial loads when installed in pairs.
Classification of Tapered Roller Bearings
This kind of bearing mainly subjected to combined radial and axial loads. The bearing capacity of the bearing depends on the raceway angle of the outer ring. The larger the angle, the greater the bearing capacity. According to the number of rows of rolling elements in the bearing, it is divided into single row tapered bearing, double row tapered roller bearing and four-row tapered roller bearing. The clearance of the single-row tapered roller bearing needs to be adjusted by the user during installation; the double-row and four-row tapered roller bearing clearance have been given according to the user’s requirements at the time of shipment from the factory, and no user adjustment is required.
Application of Tapered Roller Bearings
Tapered roller bearing are widely used, and single row tapered roller bearings are commonly used in the automotive wheel industry. Multi-row tapered roller bearing are widely used in the automotive industry, rolling mill machinery, mining machinery equipment, metallurgical industry, plastic machinery and so on.
